What shapes the diesel price in Florida
Florida has no major refineries. Every gallon arrives by tanker or pipeline from Gulf Coast refineries. The Strategic Intermodal System highways, I-10, I-75 and I-95, carry some of the highest truck-stop fuel volumes in the Southeast, and tourism and RV traffic add year-round demand above the per-capita norm. Tampa and Jacksonville are the state's fuel distribution hubs. EIA reads Florida through the Lower Atlantic district rather than as its own diesel series.
