What shapes the diesel price in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania has the highest state diesel tax in the lower 48 once the oil franchise fee, state excise and local rates are combined. That is the main reason Pennsylvania pump prices run above their district. The state is central to I-76 Turnpike and I-78 and I-81 freight flows, the Northeast Corridor's primary truck route.
